"Little Cottonwood Canyon Rental"
I rented a condo at the Sugarplum between Xmas and New Years in 2016. The skiing conditions were fantastic and the experience was memorable. The condo was well appointed and clean.
Happy New Year! We are delighted that you had a memorable stay with us and that the condo met your needs! The winter activities at Alta and Snowbird are some of the BEST in the world and we are thrilled that you were able to enjoy them this season. We hope to see you again soon.

"Very nice ski in, ski out property with good access to Snowbird"
Everything was excellent with the Condo. Plenty of room in the 3 Bedrooms. Nice Garage area and nice area to put on ski boots. Adequate kitchen with all the necessary things. Nice living room. There are excellent views from the condo. The only issue we had was getting shuttles to places to eat if we did not eat in the condo, since we did not have a car. We had to pay shuttle fees to get back from the cliff hotel after dinner one night. Getting groceries is also difficult. I would recommend getting a rental car for this condo, if the shuttles were better this would not be necessary.
Thank you for your candid review of Village at Sugarplum L and the shuttle services in and around Alta and Snowbird.
The daytime shuttle services include FREE shuttles to Alta from the complex and a public bus that has stops on the By-Pass Road just beyond the driveway for the complex. The evening is different. There is great paid shuttle taxi service" available from the Cliff Lodge Ride Desk anywhere in the canyon for a small fee of $3 each way.
A rental four wheel drive vehicle is certainly a good option - but you if you don't want to spend the extra money - the paid evening service is an excellent and economical way to get around.
We always recommend getting groceries before entering the canyon. Private Shuttles will always make the grocery stop for you for 30 minutes no additional charge. There is also a FREE grocery shuttle that leaves Snowbird every evening about 5:30 and goes to the large Smiths Grocery Store at the base of the canyon. It's is super convenient.
We hope you will join us in the future for your skiing vacations!

"A comfortable but not luxurious experience"
Unit L is comfortable, but very dated. For the location and price, we were expecting more high end accomadations. The furniture and floors are very worn, there is only a single, small (old) TV and a very outdated video player and stereo. The kitchen and bathrooms look and feel right out of the late 1980's. And do not be fooled by the "ski in/ski out" label. To get to the put in/ take out area, is quite a hike and with heavy equipment, it just wasn't convienient. So, to summarize, I probably wouldn't stay here again, given that there are other places nearby that looked way more modern and updated.
Canyon Services welcomes the opinions and comments of our guests and we make every effort to make sure that each guest experience includes the very best in service and accommodations.
Canyon Services believes that The Village at Sugarplum, Unit L, is a beautiful condominium with gorgeous wood floors that are in pristine condition and Southwest Style furnishings. That style for a mountain ski retreat it is both homey and delightful. That said, we understand that rental properties require constant care and updating and each summer these units receive our full attention.
Canyon Services staff work with individual owners during summer months to update, modernize and customize their properties. Occasionally, circumstances prevent those updates on a certain schedule.
Along the same vein, ski-in/ski-out can take a variety of forms. These condos are not sold as being on a ski run. In Little Cottonwood Canyon, these condominiums are considered to have ski-in/ski-out access to Snowbird via Intermediate trails. The access can change from day to day, depending on snow and weather conditions. Our staff is always available and willing to assist guests with information on how to make the best of the ski-in/out options.
Thank you for taking time to give us feedback. Every comment from a guests helps us do our jobs better!

"Not ski in/ski out or 3.5 baths"
This property was listed as ski in/ski out with 3 bedfrooms and 3.5 properties. It is neither. There are 3 bedrooms with 2.5 baths. We did manage to get to Snowbird on our skis after climbing over a huge pile of plowed snow and putting on our skis to ski through a wooded area. Luckily, we had goggles and helmets due to the branches whipping our faces and heads. We never figured out a good way to ski back although you can get close. Nonetheless, you need to take off your skis and walk about 50 yards through snow. The kitchen was well-equipped and the rental property managers very nice. However, there were two overhead lights that were out and the entire mechanism had to be replaced. This was not completed when we were there which made cooking and dinner and clean up a little more difficult. Also, the refrigerator did not cool very well.
Thank you for your review. We have corrected the typo on our web-site to show the correct number of bathrooms of 2.5. We are happy to report the lights and the refrigerator are working! We appreciate you letting us know that there was a problem.
This property is ski in/ski out by way of an intermediate skier made trail through the trees to Snowbird Ski resort. It is unfortunate that our office staff did not know you were experiencing trouble with ski in/ski out. They would have gladly shown you the easiest way to get back to your condo.
These reviews are invaluable to us. Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback.
